The vents were spread apart creating room for the raised decal stripe lines.
It's beleived that only Mold #1 received some interim changes diverging the 2 different molds forever.
In 1970 I personally removed this Body from the Tool Room where the casting changes were being made.
As a tool room test shot, I beleived that none were ever sent to Mattel for painting. -

Mold #2 catches up with the previous changes to #1, but additional changes are also applied
Mold #2, Vents are spread, decal stripe lines added, Rear Deck Fin leveled, axle support raised
Mold #1, adds headlight support rails and more bulk to the Windshield Holders (#2 received neither)
Both #1 & #2 have their axle support widened eliminating the existing part #s which were restamped.
This stage saw mixed changes to both, while a bit confusing left both much closer to production.
As the very 1st Sizzler, alot of things with how the chassis fit had to be worked out. -
