The orginal project name was "Ghost" and was supposed to have been made in Ghostly Green compared to the White it was eventually made in. To be released with a Top Hat Rider made out of Vinyl made in Hong Kong.
Almost all parts were manufactured in the USA and shipped to Mexico for assembly before being sent back to the USA for distribution. Only the Riders(Hong Kong) and Motors(Japan) were made elsewhere.
Mattel created February-72 to April-72
Concept Designer: S. Kaminski
There are two different variations in the production Ghost Rider.
The Fork Neck area was widened so that the Forks could more easily be turned from side to side.
